From eyesore to eye-catcher
In the Brandenburg town of Wittenberge, an East German prefab right on the old market square was increasingly perceived as an eyesore. We turned it into a real eye-catcher. Using trompe-l’œil, we succeeded in creating the impression of a street section consisting of three old buildings and thus visually integrating the building into the ensemble of surrounding buildings.

The trompe-l’oeil painting, superbly realised in terms of perspective and craftsmanship, creates the perfect illusion. Only from close up do you realise that the stucco elements are optical illusions.
