The world’s tallest bookshelf
The 33-metre-high eye-catcher in Schwerin illustrates how façade design can also represent the people living in a building or quarter: it is local residents’ favourite books and objects that are depicted on the shelves. The shelves are aligned with the existing structure of the concrete slabs.

“The eye-catching mural on the front of this prefab building on Berliner Platz in Schwerin provides a glimpse behind the façade of this housing complex. The shelves of the giant library, painted in acrylic paint, follow the structure of the concrete slabs.
